About the Fellowship Year
Established in 2006, the Acumen Fund Global Fellows Program is a premier training ground for the next generation of social sector leaders. Our Global Fellows are talented young professionals who come from diverse geographies and backgrounds, but share a common commitment to solve the problems of poverty. With the Global Fellows Program, we strive to show the best and the brightest in the world that patient capital is not only a viable career path but the path of the future.

1. Training
The Acumen Fund Global Fellowship begins with 2 months of intensive training at Acumen Fund offices in New York. The curriculum is based around three core principles of moral imagination, leadership, and operational excellence. This training features some of the most influential experts in social enterprise as trainers, as well as two leadership retreats.

2.Field Placement
For the next 9 months, Fellows work at Acumen Fund’s portfolio organizations as key staff members. Fellows work directly with entrepreneurs, interact with customers at the bottom of the pyramid, and grapple with the complex issues of addressing the needs of the poor.

3. Debrief & Beyond
At the conclusion of the Fellowship, Fellows return to New York to share their experiences with each other and share learnings with the Acumen Fund team. Fellows also receive career development support to find the next step in their journey. After the Fellowship, Alumni remain connected through an annual gathering, newsletters, and frequent collaboration.
