Ankur Shah
Interim India Country Director
Ankur Shah leads our office in India and our Education investment portfolio. Prior to joining Acumen, Ankur spent several years working with private investors and entrepreneurs focused on financial access, clean water and energy for low-income markets in India. Before working in India, he managed a Robin Hood Foundation project to reimagine and build libraries in 25+ New York City public schools, serving nearly 20,000 students, and worked with McKinsey & Company advising Fortune 100 companies in the US and Europe on M&A and growth opportunities. Ankur began his career in the founding team of a European dot com that raised over $150M from private investors. Ankur has an Architecture degree from Cornell University, and a Masters in International Development from Harvard’s Kennedy School where he was a Reynolds and a Soros Fellow. Ankur is also an Advisory Board member for the Centre for Civil Society, an independent non-profit research and education organization in Delhi.
