Amon Anderson
Portfolio Associate
As a Portfolio Associate in East Africa, Amon Anderson works with local and international partners to identify potential investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, present analysis, structure terms of investment, as well as provide on-going management and technical support to active portfolio companies. Amon joined the Acumen Fund in October of 2008 and focuses primarily in the water and agriculture sectors. Prior to Acumen Fund, Amon was Program Manager for the Addis Ababa-based Cherokee Gives Back Foundation, where he managed education and investment initiatives. He has also worked in the Carolina Entrepreneurial Initiative at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, developing entrepreneurship education programs for non-business students. He graduated with highest honors as a Morehead Scholar from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning his B.A. in International Studies.
