Suraj Sudhakar
East Africa Fellows Manager
Suraj currently works for Acumen Fund leading the development and execution of the East Africa Fellows Program. Prior to joining Acumen Fund, Suraj worked for Peepoople, an organization that aims to provide hygenic sanitation for all. Suraj was also an Acumen Fund fellow in the class of 2009. During his fellowship year, he worked with Ecotact, a Nairobi-based company that aims to improve the urban landscape for low-income communities through environmentally-responsible projects in sanitation and housing. His projects involved developing a marketing plan for expansion of the Eco-toilet model and building a financial consolidation plan. Prior to the fellowship, Suraj was working on a variety of consulting projects in market research and healthcare. He has served as a Team Leader for Rural Innovations Network and as a programmer analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions. Suraj earned a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Cochin University of Science & Technology.
