Molly Alexander
Business Manager, India
Molly focuses on raising philanthropic capital for Acumen Fund, taking the lead on building a community of partners to support our work in India. After six years on the Business Development team in our New York office, Molly relocated to India in May 2010 where her responsibilities include lead strategizer, thinker, and schemer on building the strength and engagement of Acumen Fund’s community here. Molly also leads the India team’s efforts around recruiting top talent and Acumen Fund’s work in communications – branding, messaging, media outreach, speaking engagements and events throughout the year. Molly has extensive experience living and working overseas, and prior to moving to New York managed a small business in Sydney, Australia creating market-based distribution channels for cottage industry products from remote areas of Tasmania. Molly holds a Bachelor of Asian Studies Degree with a double major in international relations and Korean studies from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney. One of five national recipients of a prestigious UNSW Business School scholarship, Molly completed her degree while living in Seoul, South Korea, where she also taught English as a Second Language.
