Jonathan Mazumdar
Portfolio Associate
Jonathan is focused on developing Acumen’s Education Portfolio and supporting portfolio management in India. He works to identify and conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities, primarily in the Education sector, and to monitor the performance of and support active investments to help them achieve their objectives. Jonathan joined Acumen Fund in November 2010 as a Portfolio Associate in the New York office, where he supported the global team with portfolio operations and knowledge and metrics management.
Prior to joining Acumen Fund, Jonathan was a Research Associate for the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) in Bihar, India, where he managed a randomized evaluation of Pratham’s Read India program. He has previously worked as a summer analyst at Lehman Brothers and as a research assistant at the Center for Financial Stability in Argentina. Jonathan graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Mathematics and Quantitative Economics from Tufts University.
