Elizabeth Mercer

Elizabeth joined the Acumen Fund New York office on the Business Development team in September, 2008. Most recently, Elizabeth was chosen to participate in the International Youth Internship Program run by the Canadian International Development Agency, where she worked for the Kuyasa Fund, a housing microfinance fund in Cape Town, South Africa. Prior to that, Elizabeth earned a MPA from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, where she provided short-term technical assistance to a start-up microfinance organization in Yoff, Senegal. Before graduate school, Elizabeth was an Assistant Vice President at the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and a Consultant with IBM Business Consulting Services in New York City, focusing on process improvement and project management in the IT arena. Elizabeth also holds a BSE in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.
